Criminal Justice Students Represent GSC at Regional Conference
Several students in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College academic criminal justice fraternity Sigma Pi Xi, along with their advisor and GSC criminal justice professor Kelly Treece, attended the American Criminal Justice Association Lambda Alpha Epsilon Region IV Conference held in New Haven, Connecticut on November 4-5.
GSC's Pioneer Shooting Club Receives Grant from NRA Foundation
The NRA Foundation has awarded Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College’s Pioneer Shooting Club a grant totaling over $2,000 to fund two new shotguns, ammunition, targets, cleaning and maintenance supplies for the firearms, and more.
Ceremony held to Break Ground on Greenhouse at GSC
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College on Friday broke ground on the newest addition to its campus facilities, a greenhouse. The new space will be located in the open area behind college housing and adjacent to the Waco Center on the College’s Mineral Road Campus.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState to Host IOGA Classic
The Waco Center at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College will be the site of a boy’s and girl’s six-day high school basketball tournament this December. The Independent Oil & Gas Association (IOGA) Classic tournament is being hosted at GSC this year, Monday, December 12 through Saturday, December 17.
Annual Literary Magazine Open for Submissions
The Trillium, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College’s literary and arts journal, is open for submissions for the 2017 issue. All GSC students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members are invited to submit visual art, poetry, fiction, song lyrics, and other forms of creative expression.
Chi Beta Phi Members Participate in National Conference
On Saturday, October 1, 2016, eleven members of the Alpha Iota Chapter of Chi Beta Phi and two other members of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College community attended the 69th National Conference of Chi Beta Phi. The conference was hosted by the Zeta Chapter of the organization at the Eshelman Science Center on the Davis & Elkins College campus in Elkins, West Virginia.
