2017 GSC Royalty Announced
Members of the 2017 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcoming Court have been announced. Kaylee Howard is the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcoming Queen; Justin Rader is the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcoming King.
Halftime Heroes Honored at GSC Football Game
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College President Dr. Tracy Pellett and Vice President for Student Life and Athletics, Rusty Vineyard, honored three individuals through GSC’s ‘Half-time Heroes’ initiative during the Pioneer Football game on Saturday, October 7.
Wayne de Rosset to Serve as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcoming Parade Marshal
Professor Emeritus Mr. Wayne de Rosset will be serving as parade marshal during GSC’s homecoming parade on Saturday, October 21. Professor de Rosset’s wife Sherry, who is also a GSC retiree, will be accompanying him in the parade.

The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Department of Social Science held its annual Constitution Day program and essay contest on Thursday, September 21.
Changes Announced to GSC's College Advancement Team
After 10 years at the helm, Mr. Dennis Pounds will be departing today as Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College’s Vice President for College Advancement and Executive Director of the GSC Foundation. Pounds had been in the position since 2007.
GSC's Fred Walborn Officiates Wedding for Former Students
When planning for a wedding, there are lot of details to consider – the venue, the cake, guest list, finding a photographer, and more. One of the most important decisions is who will actually perform the marriage ceremony. That was an easy decision for one pair of former Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College students, all they had to do was call up their favorite professor.
Three Honored as Half-time Heroes at GSC Football Game
Three individuals were honored through a new ‘Half-time Heroes’ initiative during the Pioneer Football game on Saturday, September 16. Dennis Carpenter, Amanda (Mandy) Frymier, and Dr. Dwight Heaster were recognized and thanked for their efforts on campus, in the community, and in GSC’s service area. Half-time Heroes are individuals who bring recognition to GSC through their dedication and civic duties, which enhances the overall image of Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College.
Date set for Dr. Tracy Pellett's Inauguration
The inauguration date for Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College’s twenty-fourth president, Dr. Tracy L. Pellett, has been set. Pellett will be officially installed as GSC’s newest leader at the ceremony which will take place on Friday, November 10 at 4:00 p.m. in the College’s Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The public is invited.
