Little Kanawha Reading Series to Host Marie Manilla
As part of the ongoing Little Kanawha Reading Series, 鶹ƵState University will play host to Marie Manilla on Thursday, September 8 at 4:00 p.m. in the Robert F. Kidd Library. The event is free and open to the public.
Frank Vincent Memorabilia to be Housed at 鶹ƵState University
Several pieces of memorabilia chronicling Coach Frank Vincent’s career were donated to 鶹ƵState University by two of his former Charleston High School players. In addition to being a star lineman at 鶹ƵState in the early 1950s, Vincent was a record-setting head coach at Charleston High and he served as head coach at 鶹Ƶfrom 1980-86.
Free Cybersecurity Workforce Training Coming to 鶹ƵState University
鶹ƵState University will be offering free cybersecurity training as a part of the Cybersecurity and Safety Workforce Development Initiative. The Initiative aims to create a more vibrant economic future for the coal-impacted North Central region of West Virginia.
鶹ƵState University Remembers Hershel “Woody” Williams
It is with great sadness that 鶹ƵState University observes the passing of Hershel “Woody” Williams, the last living Medal of Honor recipient from World War II. Williams was a major proponent of 鶹ƵState’s West Virginia Veterans’ Legacy Project that took place in 2012.
