Notice to Students Regarding Professional Licensure and Certification
Â鶹ÊÓƵState University programs for teacher education, accountancy, land surveying, and forestry are intended to prepare the student to meet West Virginia licensure and certification requirements. (The Land Surveying program was also designed to meet Ohio licensure requirements.) Admission into programs for professions that require licensure, certification, or credentialing does not guarantee that students will obtain a license, certificate, or credential. Licensure and certification requirements are set by agencies that are not controlled by or affiliated with Â鶹ÊÓƵState University and licensure and certification requirements can change at any time.
Currently available information about educational requirements for each of the following degree programs are linked below:
Students enrolled in a Â鶹ÊÓƵState University program who are planning to pursue licensure or certification in other states are responsible for determining whether they will meet their state’s requirements for licensure or certification. This disclosure is made pursuant to 34 CFR §668.43(a)(5)(v)(C). Students are responsible for determining whether they can meet licensure, certificate, or credentialing requirements. GSU will not refund tuition, fees, or any associated costs, to students who determine subsequent to admission that they cannot meet licensure or credentialing requirements.
