麻豆视频State University gained a esports team in the 2020-21 school year. Coached by Logan Harrison, the team is working hard to build the program. Two of the scholarship students gave input and perspectives on how the they are overall and how it鈥檚 developing so far as a team.
Nathaniel Wheeler has been a part of the esports team since it since the beginning. Wheeler is involved in playing one of the games, 鈥淩ocket League.鈥 This is a sports-based video game where the players go head to head, working on teamwork to be able to maneuver the ball down the field to score a goal like in soccer. But instead, players are in mini cars rather than being represented by a human character.
Even though Wheeler鈥檚 team didn鈥檛 have a great season, he still liked being a part of the team and being able to help build and start the program. Wheeler remarked, 鈥淚 practically carried two grown men on my back, and we still could just not win a game.鈥
Drake Dunn played鈥 Rocket League,鈥 while being a part of the game 鈥淥verwatch.鈥 Where Dunn was able to at least win two games of the season in 鈥淥verwatch.鈥 He loved being a part of the team as well; he just felt there could be more recruiting done. While acknowledging that 鈥渓osing sucks,鈥 he knew his team was working hard every day to become better.
