Military Appreciation Ball Planned at GSC
Members of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Student Veterans Association invite everyone to this year’s Military Appreciation Ball on Saturday, November 7.
Land Resources Department to Host Ecology Presentation
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Land Resources Department will be the site of a presentation on ecotype variations of tussock cottongrass in varying Alaskan climates. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Thursday, October 22 at 12:15 p.m. in room 227-228 of the Waco Center.
GSC Students Sponsoring 'Trick or Reading Night' for Local Children
Students in the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Early Education Student Group (EESG) will be hosting a free 'Trick or Reading Night' for area public school students. The event will be held on Thursday, October 22 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in the third floor ballroom of the Mollohan Campus Community Center.
Special Oktoberfest Dinner at GSC on October 22
The public is invited to Mollohan’s Restaurant at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College on Thursday, October 22 from 4:30 until 7:00 p.m. for GSC’s Oktoberfest Premium Night.
Guest Tuba and Euphonium Artist Coming to GSC
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Fine Arts Department will play host to George Palton for a guest artist tuba recital on Thursday, October 15 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium. The event will be open to the public and is free to attend.
GSC to Host Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon
The annual Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon has been scheduled for Tuesday, October 27. The event will be held in GSC’s Mollohan Campus Community Center Ballroom at 12:00 p.m. GSC's yearly event is in recognition of October's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
American Chestnut Presentation at GSC on October 8
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Land Resources Department will be the site of a presentation on the history, collapse, and revival of the American chestnut tree. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Thursday, October 8 at 12:15 p.m. in room 227-228 of the Waco Center.
'Glolympics' Event Coming to GSC
In partnership with the New Vision Renewable Energy program, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College will be the site of a free 'Glolympics' night on Monday, October 5. Registration will take place at Morris Stadium at 6:30 p.m. and the games will begin at 7:00 p.m. Event organizers indicate that the fun is open to anyone aged 8 to 80.
