GSC’s Annual Percussion Ensemble Tickets on sale March 1
Tickets for the annual 鶹ƵState College Percussion Ensemble will go on sale on Friday, March 1 at 8:00 a.m. Concerts will be held on Thursday, April 4 and Friday, April 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
Generous Donation Benefits 鶹ƵState Art and Design Students
鶹ƵState College Art and Design students can let their creativity to flow thanks to a generous donation from an award-winning artist. The Applied Learning Art and Design Computer Lab, located in the Fine Arts Center, was completed in part by Arlinka Worl, a silver and gold Grumbacher medal award-winning artist from Detroit, Michigan.

Celebration of Words Event Planned at GSC on February 21
Faculty members in 鶹ƵState College’s Department of Language and Literature are planning a Celebration of Words event in the Robert F. Kidd Library on Thursday, February 21, at 4:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
鶹ƵState and Stonewall Jackson Memorial Sign Memorandum of Understanding
鶹ƵState College and Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital (SJMH) have announced a new partnership by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at promoting post-secondary educational opportunities for SJMH employees, spurring economic development in Lewis and Gilmer Counties, strengthening connections between the two institutions, and broadening student experiences in real work settings.
Free Income Tax Preparation Assistance Available at GSC
Free income tax preparation assistance is being offered through a partnership between the Internal Revenue Service and the 鶹ƵState College accounting program to help students, faculty, staff, and local residents file their basic federal and West Virginia income tax returns.
Weyerhaeuser Awards Equipment Grant to GSC
Continuing in their tradition of helping students learn in a hands-on environment with the latest tools and technology, the Weyerhaeuser Company has again awarded 鶹ƵState College’s Department of Land Resources an equipment grant.
