GSC Bluegrass Band Featured in National Magazine
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Bluegrass Band was recently showcased in the July 2014 issue of Bluegrass Unlimited magazine. This nearly 50 year old publication circulates across the nation and is dedicated to preserving the culture and instilling traditions of the music.
Two GSC Students Participate in National Ceramics Competition
Amanda Wallbrown of Rosedale, WV and Ryan Singleton of Burnsville, WV, two Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College studio art majors, recently took part in the San Angelo National Ceramic Competition in Texas. While both were honored by their selection to compete, Wallbrown was further recognized with a Merit Award that was accompanied by a $50 prize.
GSC Professor to Perform with House of Blues Band in Glenville
The N'Tranze Band, featuring Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Assistant Professor of Music Jason Barr, will give a free concert at GSC's Rusty Musket on Thursday, October 17th at 7:00 p.m. followed by an encore performance at the Pioneer Grille Restaurant on Friday, October 18th at 7:00 p.m.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Marching Band Holds Camp
Members of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College marching band returned to campus a week before fall classes began to prepare marching drills, learn new routines, and familiarize themselves with new songs.
GSC Spring Jazz Band Concert
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Jazz Band concert is scheduled to take place on April 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
