Rice Scholarship at GSC Continues to Benefit Central West Virginia Students
Warden and Joanne Rice have huge hearts for the students in Warden's home county of Webster. Over the past seven years, they have encouraged students to complete high school and take sufficient college prep courses. As incentive they inform them of their $2,000 per year college scholarship program GSC.
Fall GSC Classes Offered in Summersville
Residents in and around Nicholas County can again enroll in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College courses near their homes and jobs. Four GSC courses and a lab will be offered at the Summersville campus of New River Community and Technical College during the fall 2013 semester.
GSC Evening Classes Offered Again in Braxton County
Over 15 weekly evening Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College courses are scheduled to be held at Braxton County High School in the Braxton County Center for the upcoming fall 2013 semester.
GSC Receives Scholarship Funds from AAPL
The Michael Late Benedum Chapter of the American Association of Professional Landmen recently donated $5,000 to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Land Resources Department for use in supporting student scholarships.
New GSC JASON Coordinator Pleased with Teacher Training
GSC's new JASON Learning Coordinator, Mollie Ferguson, recently organized a workshop for several K-12 instructors. The teachers learned about the new 'Climate: Seas of Change' curriculum from JASON, took part in labs, and experienced the online Mission Center.
GSC & Community to Welcome New Students
To help new Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College students learn about the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcommunity, GSC is hosting a Campus Picnic & Community Fair on Sunday, August 18th beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Clark Hall lawn.
GSC Spring Jazz Band Concert
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Jazz Band concert is scheduled to take place on April 30th at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
