Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College held its annual Winter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcoming on Saturday, February 3. The day tipped-off with an alumni basketball game where several past Pioneers and Lady Pioneers suited up to show off their skills on the court.

Winter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcoming will Celebrate Black History Month at GSC

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College will celebrate Black History Month on Saturday, February 3 during Winter Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµcoming when a proclamation will be unveiled and read that afternoon between the Women’s and Men’s Basketball games. Special honorees at this unveiling will be GSC’s black students from the 1960s and 70s who have come back to campus as individuals who paved the way for future black students at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState. GSC’s Inaugural Hall of Famer Bob Minnieweather ‘67, a phenomenal student athlete, will be memorialized at this event.

Local Artist with Sculptures in GSC's RFK Library Passes Away at 89

A half-century ago, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College became the recipient of two sculptures from local artist Wolfgang Hubert Flor. On Saturday, December 2, 2017, Mr. Flor passed away at the age of 89.

More Tuition Decreases Coming at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College

Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College today boldly announced its pledge to again cut tuition for the 2018-19 academic year by at least 2% with the condition that GSC’s state appropriation does not decrease. Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College President Dr. Tracy Pellett was joined at the state capitol by lawmakers from both sides of the aisle to make the announcement.

GSC to hold Day of Giving on November 28
