Honoring Service Members Lost on Memorial Day

Memorial Day is an annual holiday to honor those who died while serving in the United States military. A memorial to the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College students lost during WWII sits on Clark Hall Lawn, near the Science Hall.
Annual Day of Giving Celebration Raises over $130,000

Thanks to the generous support of the Pioneer community, Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College raised over $130,000 from 357 donors during the third-annual Day of Giving earlier this year.
Pioneer Pantry and Career Closet Providing Food, Clothing to GSC Students

The Pioneer Pantry and Career Closet were established as a resource to provide food, personal hygiene items, cleaning supplies, school supplies, and casual and business professional clothing to Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College students who need it – all at no cost.
Red Cross Blood Drive Coming to GSC April 6

Because of severe blood shortages across the country due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Red Cross Blood Drive previously scheduled at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College will be held as originally planned. The blood drive will take place on Monday, April 6 from 10:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at GSC’s Waco Center.
Musician’s Health and Wellness Retreat and 5K Planned at Pioneer Stage

Free Income Tax Preparation Assistance Available at GSC

Presidential search finalists who were previously scheduled to visit campus on March 25, 26, and 27 are now tentatively delaying those visits until April 22, 23, and 24 due to issues related to Coronavirus.
Annual Percussion Ensemble Tickets on sale March 2

Tickets for the 40th annual Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Percussion Ensemble will go on sale on Monday, March 2 at 8:00 a.m. Concerts will be held on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the GSC Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState Foundation Announces Riverside High School Scholarship

The Jesse Skiles Scholarship is now available to a Riverside High School graduate starting this spring. The $1,000 scholarship is designed to help a young student-athlete from the eastern end of the Kanawha Valley.
