Annual GSC Literary Magazine Reading Slated

 The reading will be held on Friday, April 11th at 4:00 p.m. in the Mollohan Campus Community Center Multipurpose Room (315A). The reading will give the writers, poets, and artists a chance to bring their works to life in a spoken-word format. It will also include an open microphone session.
GSC Alumnus John Bird Receives Prestigious Forestry Achievement Award

 Â鶹ÊÓƵState College alumnus John Bird has received the Graduate Forestry Technician Achievement Award of the Council of Eastern Forestry Technician Schools. The presentation was recently made by GSC Land Resources Professor Emeritus Rick Sypolt.
Mineral Wells Couple Fund GSC Scholarship

 The pair, both 1955 Â鶹ÊÓƵState College graduates, have established the Harold and Norma Cline Hidden Promise Scholarship for students from Wood County, West Virginia.
Nursing Scholarship Established at Â鶹ÊÓƵState College

 Two generous donors, Mike and Nancy Rust, have recently funded the Nancy Lemon Rust Nursing Scholarship for students attending Â鶹ÊÓƵState College. Students will have the opportunity to be selected for the scholarship beginning with the fall 2014 semester.
GSC Professor Publishes Research on Online and Traditional Learning

 Dr. Sherry Jones has published an article in the California State University Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) Journal of Online Learning and Teaching (JOLT). The March 2013 issue of JOLT featured her research paper on the learning equity between online and traditional classroom mathematics courses.
Rice Scholarship at GSC Continues to Benefit Central West Virginia Students

 Warden and Joanne Rice have huge hearts for the students in Warden's home county of Webster. Over the past seven years, they have encouraged students to complete high school and take sufficient college prep courses. As incentive they inform them of their $2,000 per year college scholarship program GSC.
Barker Scholarship Established at GSC

 The Don and Mary Jean Barker Scholarship has been established at Â鶹ÊÓƵState College. It will support students attending GSC from across central West Virginia with an emphasis on education majors.
