GSC Takes Part in International Education Week
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Office of International Programs in conjunction with the Department of Business, recently held events celebrating International Education Week.
GSC to hold Day of Giving on November 28
On Tuesday, November 28 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College will take part in the Day of Giving, a one-day fundraising event, for the first time. Everyone in the Pioneer family is encouraged to participate in Giving Tuesday.
Professors Travel to Dublin and London for Study Abroad Discussions
In early October 2017, three Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College faculty members traveled to London, England, and Dublin, Ireland to discuss study abroad opportunities for students at GSC. The trip was a continuation of site visits made by GSC professors over the summer as a part of GSC’s participation in a Study Abroad Capacity Building Grant.
GSC Holds Annual Constitution Day Program
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Department of Social Science held its annual Constitution Day program and essay contest on Thursday, September 21.
Students Conduct Experiments during Solar Eclipse
During the solar eclipse on August 21 students in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College’s Forest Ecology course took the opportunity to incorporate their studies into the exciting and historic event.
GSC Students Collecting Shoes for Local Children
Students in Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College’s PED 326 course (Teaching Physical Education in Elementary Schools) are currently collecting tennis shoes for elementary school students in Gilmer County and surrounding counties. The shoes will be used by students who don’t have access to a pair of gym shoes and by those who forget to bring a change of shoes for their physical education classes.
