Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Lowers Tuition for 2018-19 Academic Year
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College has taken another step to make college more affordable for students and families in the Mountain State and beyond. For the second consecutive academic year, GSC has lowered its cost of tuition. On Thursday, April 19 GSC President Dr. Tracy Pellett announced that the institution would lower tuition by 0.5% in addition to a number of other measures designed to help students save money.
Biology Student Receives Award at WV Academy of Science Meeting
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College senior biology major Scott Wentz was recently recognized as the Outstanding Science Poster Presenter at the 93rd Annual Meeting of the West Virginia Academy of Science. The meeting was held on April 7 at WV Wesleyan College.
Japan Exchange and Teaching Program Selects GSC Student for ESL Opportunity
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College student Randy Stiers has been chosen to take part in the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Program as an Assistant Language Teacher. The JET Program is a teaching exchange program that is managed by the government of Japan. Applicants come from over 40 countries around the globe but the exclusive program traditionally accepts less than 20% of those who apply.
Commencement Ceremony is May 5 at GSC
The 144th Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Commencement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, May 5 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the college’s Waco Center.
Brian Williams to Hold Senior Recital
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College student Brian Williams will be performing his senior recital on Friday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center Auditorium.
STEM Day for Young Women to be Held at GSC
On Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24 Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College will host two events about pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
