GSC Unveils Self-Service Transfer Equivalency System
GSC’s Transfer Equivalency Self Service system is designed to be used as a guide to help students understand how their transfer classes may equate to classes at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College and how those classes may apply to degree requirements and is now on-line and ready to use.
Student Awarded Two Scholarships
Abigail Johnson, a student at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College, is the recipient of the Appalachian Vegetation Management Association (AVMA) Roger Latham Memorial Award and the West Virginia Christmas Tree Grower’s Association (WVCTGA) Arnold Spitzen Memorial Forestry Scholarship for the 2019-2020 academic year.
GSC Department of Land Resources Receives Research Grant
The Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Department of Land Resources has received a grant from the West Virginia Science and Research Opportunity Grants Program to focus on enhancing undergraduate research in ecology in the natural resource management program through a unique international research experience in Japan.
GSC Students Named to CEFTS Honor Society
Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College students Holly Tucker, Emily Landis, and Abigail Johnson all received the distinct honor of being inducted into the Council of Eastern Forest Technician Schools Honor Society.
Education Students Attend 70th Annual SECA Conference
Members of the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College Early Education Student Group (EESG) attended the annual southern Early Childhood Association Conference in Orlando, Florida from February 27 – March 2.
Land Resources Students Make Maple Syrup
A group effort involving students from the Department of Land Resources at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµState College, the WV Division of Forestry, and the Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµFire Department resulted in a delicious and educational outcome.
