GLENVILLE, WV - 鶹ƵState College students and staff marked the first day of spring 2022 semester classes on Monday, January 10.

“I am very excited to begin this new semester here at 鶹ƵState. And we are working hard to make things look as normal as possible this spring,” said 鶹ƵState College President, Dr. Mark A. Manchin.

Being mindful of COVID-19, masks are required in classroom settings again this semester at 鶹ƵState.

The new year also brings a noteworthy milestone for 鶹ƵState, its sesquicentennial. Founded in February 1872, the institution will be marking the anniversary throughout the year.

“Marking 150 years is a monumental occasion and we look forward to celebrating it with our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends. This will be an opportunity to remember those who laid the foundation for this institution, to reflect on the things that make our college so special, and to look ahead as we plan for the next 150 years,” Manchin added.

Students may add or drop classes through Friday, January 14. The last day of the spring term is scheduled for Friday, April 29.
